Recovery Suit by Suitical

Welcome back to Humboldt Pet Supply’s Ranger Picks! This month, we’re highlighting the Recovery Suit for dogs & cats from Suitical! 

The Recovery Suit is a full-body, snug-fitting garment designed to protect a pet after surgery or when they have a skin condition, wound, or other injury. It’s a great alternative to a traditional cone, preventing the pet from licking, scratching, or biting the area while still allowing for normal movement. No more banging into walls or getting caught in doorways! 

Not only does it protect your pet from themselves, but also from the environment. You don’t have to worry about mud or dirt from the yard getting into any wounds.

My dog Lark recently got spayed, so I got some hands-on experience with the product. It was SO much easier and more comfortable for both her and me than dealing with the cone. It worked completely as intended - she was not able to get to her stitches at all. I sometimes also used Kong’s inflatable cone (another favorite!) to prevent her from licking her IV site.  

For bathroom breaks it was super quick and easy to roll up and send her outside - there’s even a handy little loop you can use to pink up the excess fabric to keep it from dragging.

I also appreciated the blue panel sewn on the inside belly, so I could quickly and easily see if there was any discharge from the wound during recovery. 

Overall, it really feels like every detail was thought over when creating this product. It was so much less of a hassle for both me and my dog than the traditional cone and even the blow-up cones. I highly recommend keeping it in mind for your pets!
